We offer different options for candida testing but most frequently recommend stool test. Your Naturopath can provide you with a referral for this. It is in an extra change paid directly to the labs and prices range from $130 for more basic testing to $400 for more complee microbiome testing. If you have candida, tried and test natural treatment will be recommended.

Comprehensive Stool Analysis

The Comprehensive digestive stool analysis (CDSA) is an at home stool test that allows your practitioner to better understand your digestive functionality. It measures a range digestion, absorption, and metabolism markers and can also check bacterial, fungal and parasitic infection.

There are different levels of CDSA that range in price $130-$460

Microbiome Testing

Microbiome testing looks into your unique make up of micro-organism balance living in your system. We truly are symbiotic beings, depending on our microbiome for a huge range of functions such as immunity, digestive health, synthesis of neurotransmitters and vitamins!

How healthy is your system? Test range in price but commonly around $200 – $360 depending on which test suits you best

Celiac testing

Celiac is the most problematic form of gluten-intolerance. It is an auto-immune reaction to your digestive lining affecting nutrient absorption and gut health. If you feel you don’t tolerate wheat or gluten, it is wise to rule out Celiac as this disease can create lasting damage.

The only true way of diagnosing Celiac is through biopsy from an endoscopy, however Gene testing, immune testing through the blood can give a very good indication if Celiac disease is likely.

Helicobacter testing

It is estimated that 50% of the population is infected with Helicobacter Pylori. H Pylori can cause gastritis in adults and children is thought to cause ulcers. People infected with H Pylori have a 2 to 6 fold increased risk of developing gastric cancer and lymphoma as compared to uninfected persons.

We utilize either stool antigen testing or refer you to have the breath test depending on your assessment.

If a positive test is revealed, your Naturopath will be able to provide you with specific recommendations to overcome this issue.

Intestinal Permeability

The intestinal permeability testing or ‘Leaky gut’ test is a simple challenge urine test that is a precise, non-invasive way of assessing for gastrointestinal mucosal integrity.  Other markers to understand gut lining health can also be performed through stool testing.

Damage to the lining of the gastrointestinal tract (small and large intestine), is common in people with conditions such as food sensitivity and food allergy, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, coeliac disease and dermatological conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne.
The integrity or gut lining can be affected by many things such as stress, gut infections, alcohol, environmental toxins, medications such as non-steroidal anti inflammations and antibiotics, and poor diet.

If your test shows an increased intestinal permeability, your Naturopath will be able to offer you specific advice on how to repair and restore your intestinal integrity that will make you feel vital and well and again.
